Description:

This two day course focuses on developing advanced skills and knowledge in managing trauma patients in the pre hospital care setting. This course covers core trauma clinical skills and the development of pre hospital team leadership abilities. The course is designed for emergency and critical care clinicians including paramedics, doctors and nurses.

Prerequisites

There is no formal prerequisites for this course. Course participants are required to pre read the course manual supplied upon registration.

Dress

Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear. Participants will be required to undertake manual handling and to perform scenarios in various simulation environments.

Catering

All day catering is provided throughout the course. We are able to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Please advise of dietary requirements when registering for the course.

Course Cancelation Policy

In the rare event that EMTA is required to cancel a course, the following procedure will apply:

  1. A course transfer to a later date will be offered to participants; or
  2. Where a course transfer is unavailable or unsuitable, a full refund will be provided to participants of the cancelled course.

If a participant wishes to cancel their course registration:

  • Over 28 calendar days before the course commencement – 70% of course fees will be refunded.
  • Under 28 calendar days before the course commencement – no refund will be offered.
