Description:

This two day course focuses on developing advanced skills and knowledge in managing cardiac arrest and other medical emergencies. This course covers advanced resuscitation skills and the development of emergency team leadership abilities. The course is designed for experienced emergency and critical care clinicians including doctors, nurses and paramedics.

Prerequisites

There is a pre course examination required for this course. The exam and the pre course reading including the Australian Resuscitation Council, Advance Life Support course manual will be posted to you four weeks before the course commencement.

Dress

Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear.

Catering

Premium all day catering is provided throughout the course. We are able to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Please advise of dietary requirements when registering for the course.

Course Cancelation Policy

In the rare event that EMTA is required to cancel a course, the following procedure will apply:

  1. A course transfer to a later date will be offered to participants; or
  2. Where a course transfer is unavailable or unsuitable, a full refund will be provided to participants of the cancelled course.

If a participant wishes to cancel their course registration:

  • Over 28 calendar days before the course commencement – 70% of course fees will be refunded.
  • Under 28 calendar days before the course commencement – no refund will be offered.
