• Certification: ARC issued ALS certificate valid for 4 years

Description:

This one day course focuses on developing foundation skills, knowledge and confidence in managing medical emergencies including cardiac arrest. The course is designed for clinicians who don’t regularly manage patients requiring emergency care. The course can be targeted towards clinicians working in the following areas using relevant clinical equipment in line with your scope of practice.

• Pre Hospital / First Response;
• Community Health Facilities;
• Ward based clinical areas.

Prerequisites

There are no formal prerequisites for this course. We will send you the Australian Resuscitation Council, Advance Life Support course manual four weeks before the course commencement for self-guided pre-reading.

Dress

Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear.

Catering

Premium all day catering is provided throughout the course. We are able to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Please advise of dietary requirements when registering for the course.

Course Cancelation Policy

In the rare event that EMTA is required to cancel a course, the following procedure will apply:

  1. A course transfer to a later date will be offered to participants; or
  2. Where a course transfer is unavailable or unsuitable, a full refund will be provided to participants of the cancelled course.

If a participant wishes to cancel their course registration:

  • Over 28 calendar days before the course commencement – 70% of course fees will be refunded.
  • Under 28 calendar days before the course commencement – no refund will be offered.
